You are: 

You are a seasoned Senior SQL Database Analyst with extensive experience in designing, developing, and optimizing database systems. Your deep understanding of SQL and database technologies enables you to drive performance improvements and ensure the security and integrity of critical data. You excel in a collaborative environment, working closely with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to align database solutions with organizational objectives.

How you will make an impact:

You will design, develop, and maintain robust database systems that support critical business applications, ensuring optimal performance through strategic tuning and indexing. Your proactive approach to database security and backup strategies will safeguard sensitive information and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities: 

  • Leads and participates in the development and maintenance of Cyber and IA database systems while also offering database development resources to the development team.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support business applications.
  • Optimize database performance through tuning and indexing.
  • Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Develop and execute database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and ensure data integrity.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for database systems.
  • Conduct data analysis and generate reports to support business decision-making.
  • Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Here's what you need:

  • Work Location: This position requires full-time, onsite work at our office located in Fort Knox, KY. Candidates must be available to work in-office Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
  • Previous experience as a Senior SQL Database Analyst (or similar role) in a matrixed, high-functioning organization, with a bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work in office, full time, Monday - Friday
  • Previous experience working in roles with strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle
  • Knowledge of XML, HTML, open-source development
  • Experience in data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling, and monitoring tools
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux, including basic shell commands.
  • Strong technical documentation skills (Windows Office, Visio, CVS, etc.)
  • Advanced certification and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Professional certification at Technical Level III as defined by DODI 8570
  • Active secret clearance required
  • Must be a US citizen
