You Are

As a remote Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our users' needs and technological execution. In this crucial position, you will lead software development, acting as the primary liaison between project management and software development teams. Your responsibilities will include clearly communicating project objectives, monitoring progress, and performing code reviews for other developers.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client-side and server-side architecture and configuration
  • Develop and manage well-functioning applications
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Write test cases and demo software releases to the test team as well as the customer per Agile methodologies
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Assess and remediate any issues found during vulnerability scanning activities
  • Document software development as per industry best practices
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with customers to enhance existing software.
  • Be an active participant in the Agile development process

Here's What You Need

  • MA / MS in related field with 10+ years’ experience as Software Engineer or in lieu: BA/BS in related field with 15+ years’ experience as Software Engineer
  • Possess an active CompTIA Security+ / IAT level II certification
  • Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • An understanding of various programming such as C#, ASP.NET, .NET 6+, Blazor, JavaScript, NodeJS, and angular
  • Strong understanding of logic and debugging methodologies
  • Proficiency in writing detailed descriptions
  • Experience in working with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress, Playwright 
Bonus Points If 
  • Experience with Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience coding in SQL languages
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and tools for manual & auto testing, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing and bug-tracking systems
  • Demonstrated success in software development lifecycle management (SDLC)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical soundness, data analysis
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment
Travel
Travel is expected to be less than 5% of the time for this position.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time remote position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may require overtime occasionally. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.

  • Frequently move equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoors 90% of the time.

Compensation 

Salary is dependent on experience (DOE) and will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and applicable requirements.
